Prince George's County: GSA Insights for Small Business

June 2026

On June 18, 2026, small business owners, government contractors, and community partners filled the conference room at 6404 Ivy Lane in Greenbelt, Maryland for GSA Insights for Small Businesses — a half-day engagement designed to demystify one of the most valuable and most misunderstood pathways into federal contracting. KJA served as Program Manager and event planner, leading the end-to-end management of the experience from concept through closing remarks.

Hosted by the Prince George's County Technology Council (PGCTC) and TCecure, the session brought GSA representatives, experienced GSA Schedule Holders, and business resource partners into the same room as the companies working to reach them. Our founder, Kiisha Jennings, secured TCecure as the host venue and partner, assembled the panel, arranged the photographer and exhibitors, and coordinated extensively with the GSA throughout the planning process. Sierra + Co., a former KJA intern and now a trusted virtual assistant partner, provided onsite and administrative support that kept the day running smoothly.

The program opened with registration and networking before moving into a GSA overview, followed by the centerpiece of the day: a panel discussion moderated by GSA Representative Rob Reyes, featuring Corey Nickens of GSA AAS Defense, Tina Williams-Koroma of TCecure, and Susan Shorters of High Impact Partners. The conversation focused on leveraging GSA contract vehicles in practical terms — how schedules actually work, what agencies are looking for, and the lessons learned by firms already operating in that space. A 45-minute audience Q&A gave attendees direct access to that expertise, and the afternoon closed with networking and a tour of the Bowie Innovation Clinic.

Sponsors and exhibitors including TCecure and CyDeploy, Prince George's County Credit Union, Foundation Surety, PGCOC, and the Bowie Innovation Clinic rounded out the day with resources spanning funding, bonding, training, and business growth — the kind of wraparound support that turns federal contracting curiosity into a real pipeline.

Events like this one reflect what KJA does best. Program management is more than logistics; it is the work of aligning stakeholders, government agencies, sponsors, panelists, and vendors around a shared outcome, then executing so seamlessly that attendees only notice the value they received. For the small businesses in that room, the value was clear: a clearer roadmap to federal opportunity and the relationships to help them pursue it.

We are grateful to PGCTC and TCecure for the partnership and to every attendee who showed up ready to learn and connect. If your organization is planning an event that needs to deliver real outcomes for the small business community, let's talk.
