KJA Celebrates DOES College Fellowship Program Graduation

KJA Celebrates DOES College Fellowship Program Cohort II Graduation

December 2025 - March 2026

K. Jennings & Associates (KJA) was honored to participate in the Department of Employment Services (DOES) College Fellowship Program’s Cohort II Graduation, held Friday, March 13, 2026, at the DOES Community Room in Washington, DC. The celebration marked the culmination of months of dedication, learning, and growth for an incredible group of Fellows.

As a proud mentor partner with DOES DC, KJA supported Fellows throughout their professional development journey from December 2025 through March 2026—sharing real-world business insights, leadership strategies, and entrepreneurial guidance. This collaboration aligns deeply with KJA’s mission to empower emerging professionals, especially within communities serving Black women and small businesses.

We’re honored to have played a role in this transformative program and thrilled to continue our partnership with DOES DC as we prepare to support the next cohort launching in June 2026.

Congratulations to all the graduates—your commitment and excellence inspire us daily.

About the Program

The College Fellowship Program is a six‑month, paid professional development experience designed to help recent college graduates transition into meaningful, in‑demand public and private sector careers in Washington, DC. Through this initiative, fellows are placed with local agencies and organizations where they gain hands-on work experience while contributing to high-impact projects that serve DC residents.

In addition to on‑the‑job learning, the program weaves in wraparound supports—including professional mentorship, leadership training, and career navigation—to ensure fellows leave with both practical skills and a clearer sense of their long‑term pathway. Participants work part‑time while earning a competitive hourly wage, allowing them to build a professional track record, expand their network, and prepare for full‑time roles in growing industries across the region.

At its core, the College Fellowship Program is about equity and access: it connects DC residents who have recently completed their undergraduate degrees with structured opportunities, coaching, and employer partnerships that might otherwise be out of reach, ultimately strengthening the city’s talent pipeline and local economy.
