DC State of the District & Region Conference

September 2025

K. Jennings & Associates (KJA) proudly attended the 2025 State of the District & Region Conference on September 22, 2025, at Georgetown University’s Capitol Campus, joining influential business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to help shape the future of DC’s business ecosystem. KJA was also there in support of Susan Shorters from High Impact Partners (HIP), one of KJA's clients.

Event Highlights

The DC Chamber’s annual conference provided KJA a front-row seat to dynamic discussions on economic trends, workforce developments, and pivotal policy shifts. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s keynote illuminated her vision for the city’s growth, focusing on steps to “make the region sticky”—attracting new residents, supporting local businesses, and creating jobs through strategic investments.

Moderated by Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Nina Albert, this powerhouse lineup features:

✨ Ernie Drew Jarvis, Vice Chairman, Savills North America

✨ Vivienne Pham, Executive Director, JP Morgan Chase

✨ Amber Perry, VP of Governmental & External Affairs, Pepco

✨ Jordan Silberman, President of Venues, Monumental Sports & Entertainment

✨ Kirtan Mehta, VP of Public Affairs, Washington Commanders

Impactful Connections

KJA valued the opportunity to network with regional thought leaders and engage with organizations committed to business resilience and equity. The release of the Chamber’s State of Business Report offered actionable insights for entrepreneurs facing evolving market conditions, while panels fostered conversations about supporting small, minority-owned, and women-led enterprises.

Advancing Local Business Partnerships

By attending the conference, KJA furthered its commitment to empowering small businesses and Black women entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of investing in long-lasting partnerships across the District. The shared knowledge and connections gained serve as a blueprint for sustainable growth and community leadership in the year ahead.
