GME: A Milestone, a Mission, and a Mimosa Toast on the Potomac
September 2026
Last month, KJA boarded a brunch cruise from The Wharf in Washington, DC alongside partner Alpha Moose for an afternoon that managed to be three celebrations at once: a milestone 50th birthday, a tribute to a business relationship we value deeply, and the launch of something built to outlast all of it — the Legacy Link Fund.
Celebrating Ynette Evans
The Mimosa Brunch Cruise and Fundraiser Celebration was hosted by Ynette Evans, Chief Executive Officer of GME Enterprises and a former KJA client whose work we have followed with genuine admiration. Ynette stepped into the CEO role in May 2025, becoming the second generation to lead the certified women-owned management consulting firm her mother, Gwen Muse-Evans, founded in 2014.
A Hampton University marketing graduate, she previously served as Director of Marketing and Operations, strengthening GME's infrastructure and expanding its market presence before taking the helm. Spending a milestone birthday raising money for others says everything about how she leads.
Launching the Legacy Link Fund
The cruise doubled as the kickoff for the Legacy Link Fund, Ynette's new philanthropic initiative. Naming it "Legacy" is no accident. GME's story is itself a legacy story — a mother building a firm, a daughter carrying it forward — and the fund extends that same idea outward, creating a link between resources and the people who can use them to build something lasting.
Guests cruised the Potomac from 12:30 to 3:00 PM with mimosas, brunch, and the kind of conversation that only happens when a room is genuinely happy for someone.
Why We Showed Up
KJA attended with our partners at Alpha Moose because this is what partnership actually looks like. Clients become friends. Engagements end, but relationships do not. When someone we have worked alongside launches something meaningful, we want to be on the boat.
Congratulations, Ynette — on the milestone, on the fund, and on a legacy that is clearly still being written. We are honored to be in your corner.
