Elevating Local Businesses Through Howard County Chamber Ambassadorship
April 2026
Kiisha Jennings is training to serve as a Howard County Chamber Ambassador! This step is part of KJA’s ongoing commitment to not just support small businesses from the outside, but to be actively embedded in the ecosystems where they operate and grow.
Stepping into Leadership as a Chamber Ambassador
The Howard County Chamber Ambassador program equips local business leaders to serve as visible connectors, welcoming new members, strengthening engagement, and helping businesses plug into the resources, relationships, and opportunities the Chamber offers.
As an Ambassador-in-training, Kiisha will be preparing to:
Serve as a liaison between the Chamber and its members.
Support new and prospective members as they navigate the business community.
Represent KJA while championing a thriving, inclusive business environment in Howard County.
This role aligns seamlessly with KJA’s concierge-style approach—meeting people where they are, listening closely, and building long-term relationships rooted in trust and value.
Consistently Choosing Community Leadership
Training as a Chamber Ambassador is not a one-off opportunity; it’s part of a consistent pattern of leadership and service. Across regions and organizations, Kiisha has intentionally stepped into community-facing roles that allow her to:
Advocate for small businesses, especially Black women–owned firms.
Strengthen regional networks that connect entrepreneurs, employers, and ecosystem partners.
Bring a practical, on-the-ground perspective into conversations about growth, policy, and economic development.
By investing time and energy into leadership roles like this, KJA ensures that our clients are supported by a firm that is not only strategic behind the scenes, but also present and engaged in the rooms where decisions and connections are made.
