CME: A Powerful Introduction at Covenant House

CME: A Powerful Introduction at Covenant House

March 2026

Covenant House Greater Washington’s Career Pathways initiative equips youth experiencing homelessness or disconnection with hands-on workforce development, industry-recognized certifications, and intensive case management so they can move toward long-term stability and independence. Through multi-week training, mental health support, and job placement and retention services, young people can pursue careers in fields such as construction, IT, hospitality, and urban farming while building both technical and life skills.

As part of KJA’s commitment to building strategic, community-centered partnerships, Kiisha Jennings joined client Charles Mann Enterprises at a special information session hosted at Covenant House. This session offered an in-depth look at the Career Pathways model—from recruitment and orientation to certification, placement, and 90-day job retention tracking—showcasing a strong infrastructure that supports youth well beyond initial training.

Where Impact Meets Opportunity

Charles Mann’s long-standing dedication to youth development and workforce readiness made this introduction especially meaningful. By facilitating this connection, KJA helped align a mission-driven business with a program that is actively preparing young adults for real-world careers through practical training, community partnerships, and ongoing support.

For KJA, this is what our work is all about: thoughtfully curating relationships that create pathways—to skills, to opportunity, and to generational impact. As Covenant House continues to grow its Career Pathways offerings, we look forward to deepening this collaboration and exploring new ways to support youth as they step confidently into their futures.
